Bala spent 13 years as a Director Investments at a DFSA-regulated investment firm based in Dubai, UAE. As part of the real estate transaction team, he was involved in acquiring, managing, and exiting real estate assets across the US, UK, Germany, and the Netherlands — contributing to a portfolio of transactions exceeding USD 3 billion. His work covered the full investment lifecycle: deal sourcing, due diligence, tax and legal structuring, asset management, and exits. He also played a key role in establishing a real estate-backed mezzanine debt platform focused on US assets, which delivered double-digit yields to investors.

Prior to this, Bala served as Vice President at the alternative investment arm of a leading Kuwait-based investment house, where he was part of the team that set up and managed a USD 1.4 billion debt restructuring fund. He also evaluated investment opportunities across the MENA region and Asia.

Earlier in his career, Bala was associated with a Big Four professional services firm.

Bala is a Chartered Accountant from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, a Certified Internal Auditor (US), and has passed CFA Level 2.

As an AMFI-Registered Mutual Fund Distributor (ARN-357975), Bala now channels this institutional experience toward helping individual investors in India build disciplined, goal-oriented investment portfolios through mutual funds.
